The largest planned stage footprint in the corridor. Hill Country Studios is a San Marcos campus designed around 12 soundstages totaling 310,000 square feet, plus 15 acres of backlot, roughly midway between Austin and San Antonio.
Positioned south of Bastrop along I-35, it pushes the Central Texas studio map into the booming San Marcos market and rounds out a four-campus cluster few regions in the country can match — the Bastrop County anchors to the northeast, Stray Vista to the west, and Hill Country holding down the southern end of the spine.
The project is in development in Hays County, adding the corridor’s biggest single block of planned stage space to a map already thick with soundstages.
